Sulfur Removal Units

Hydrotreating for the removal of sulfur and nitrogen is a very common process in the modern refinery. With rare exceptions, intermediate products contain sulfur levels that exceed product specifications or catalyst limitations.

Hydrotreaters may be designed for a particular feedstock or alternatively processing different streams on a batch basis (i.e., kerosene and diesel fuel desulfurization).
